Our dedication to fostering a healthier environment and quieter communities is exemplified by our proactive transition to cutting-edge electric vehicles (EVs). While we have made significant strides by replacing older 2009 diesel trucks with more modern 2019-2021 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks, it is our shift towards EVs that truly sets us apart. EVs offer unparalleled benefits in reducing emissions, minimizing noise pollution, and enhancing sustainability beyond what diesel and CNG technologies can achieve. This commitment to electrification underscores our leadership in driving cleaner, greener transportation solutions for the future.

Here's how our new CNG trucks are making a difference compared to the 2009 diesel models:
Cleaner Air (Reduced Smog & Soot)
  • Smog-Forming Pollutants (Nitrogen Oxides): Our CNG trucks produce dramatically less smog-forming pollution – about 90-98% lower than the older diesel trucks. This means cleaner air for everyone.
  • Soot (Tiny Airborne Particles): CNG trucks also emit significantly less soot, which can cause respiratory issues. They show a remarkable 95-99% reduction in these tiny particles compared to the older diesel models.
Fighting Climate Change (Lower Carbon Emissions)
  • Direct Exhaust Emissions (Tailpipe CO2): From the tailpipe alone, our CNG trucks reduce carbon dioxide (a major greenhouse gas) by 20-25%.
  • Overall Environmental Impact (Lifecycle CO2, especially with Renewable Natural Gas): When considering the entire process from fuel production to use, especially with Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), the benefits are even greater. CNG trucks using RNG can achieve an 80-120% reduction in carbon emissions, and can even be "net-negative" depending on how the fuel is sourced!
Quieter Operations
  • Our new CNG trucks are noticeably quieter, operating at 5-8 decibels less than the older diesel trucks. This means less noise pollution in our neighborhoods and on our roads.
